Contraception

Our center provides care for women of all ages. Besides pregnancy ultrasound scans you can also make an appointment to talk about contraception and have your IUD (re)placed and/or removed.

Contraceptive consultation

Every womans body is different and women have different preferences. It is a good thing to take your time to find out what methods are available and which will suit you best. During this consultation a midwife will take you through all the options to help you make a decision.

We can provide healthy women without any complicating medical history with a prescription for the hormonal contraceptive pill, Implanon, a hormonal IUD (Kyleena or Mirena) or a hormone free IUD (T-Safe). At Echo Amsterdam experienced midwives also insert and/or remove the IUD using the most pain free method.
